Dave Kane
David Kane (born January 26, 1948) is an American radio talk show host, comedian, performance artist, and author. Kane was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island and currently still makes his home in the Ocean State. Nicknamed "The Pitbull of comedy" in the 1980s during his time as a stand-up comedian, Kane is known for his passionate, sometimes confrontational style of talk radio, urging people to stand up for what they believe in and to take action in the face of injustice. One of Kane's oft-spoken phrases is the well known quote, often attributed to Irish philosopher Edmund Burke, "All that is necessary for evil to exist is for good people to do nothing." In addition to his strong viewpoints about current local and national issues, his radio show, dubbed "Kane and Company", also features Kane's self-deprecating style of humor liberally peppered throughout. Dave Kane (born in Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland) is a Double Bass player, composer and band leader. Beginnings Kane purchased an electric bass guitar from a local catholic priest for £50 when he was 16 years old. He then began playing in local punk and alternative bands. Education *North Down College with composer and bandleader Brian Irvine. *Bretton Hall College of the University of Leeds where he immersed himself in the music of John Cage, Edgar Varese, Cecil Taylor, Barry Guy, John Coltrane, Iannis Xenakis, Charles Mingus, Frank Zappa and John Zorn. David Kane (pianist)
David Kane is an American pianist, composer, arranger, author and music critic. Biography Kane was born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1955 and moved to the United States with his family in 1965. He began playing piano and composing music at the age of eight. He attended North Texas State University in 1972. In 1975, he moved to Washington DC, where he studied with Doctor Asher Zlotnik for five years. In addition, he studied with Ludmila Ulehla, Alan Mandel, and Clare Fischer. Kane currently resides in Silver Spring, Maryland. Black Manta (David Milton Hyde) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Bob Haney and artist Nick Cardy, the character first appeared in ''Aquaman'' #35 (September 1967). He has since endured as the archenemy of the superhero Aquaman. Black Manta has had numerous Origin story, origin stories throughout his comic book appearances, having been a young boy kidnapped and enslaved by Piracy, pirates on their ship; an orphan subjected to cruel experiments in Arkham Asylum; and a high-seas Treasure hunting, treasure hunter caught in a mutual cycle of vengeance with Aquaman over the deaths of their fathers.
