David Irving (other)
David John Cawdell Irving (born 24 March 1938) is an English author who has written on the military and political history of the Second World War, especially Nazi Germany. He was found to be a Holocaust denial, Holocaust denier in a British court in 2000 as a result of a failed libel case. Irving's works include ''The Destruction of Dresden'' (1963), ''Hitler's War'' (1977), ''Churchill's War'' (1987) and ''Goebbels: Mastermind of the Third Reich'' (1996). In his works, he falsely claimed that Adolf Hitler did not know of the Final Solution, extermination of Jews, or, if he did, he opposed it. Irving's Historical negationism, negationist claims and views of German war crimes#World War II, German war crimes in the Second World War (and Hitler's responsibility for them) were denounced by historians. Hutton, Essex
Hutton is an area of Brentwood, in Essex, England; Brentwood town centre lies 3 miles to the west. The area is split between modest housing estates and the largely affluent Hutton Mount. Hutton was formerly a civil parish, which was abolished in 1934 and absorbed into Brentwood. It has good transport links to Central London (around to the south-west) via Shenfield railway station which is just from Hutton. History The first police officer of the Essex Constabulary to be killed whilst on active duty was Robert Bambrough, who was drowned in a pond in Hutton by the criminal whom he was escorting from Billericay Magistrates' Court on 21 November 1850. In 1931 the parish had a population of 2,142. On 1 April 1934 the parish was abolished and merged with Brentwood. Hutton Poplars Opened in 1905. Charles Gray (judge)
Sir Charles Antony St John Gray, QC (6 July 1942 – 3 March 2022) was a British barrister and judge, who specialised in intellectual property, copyright, privacy and defamation cases. As a judge, he presided over the trial of David Irving's libel lawsuit against Professor Deborah Lipstadt and Penguin Books over claims that Irving was a Holocaust denier; Gray delivered a 349 pages long judgment against Irving. Biography Gray attended Trinity College, Oxford, earning a bachelor's degree in 1961. He was called to the bar by Lincoln's Inn and began his practice in 1967.
