David Fury
David Fury is an American television writer, producer, actor and director. Career He is well known for his work on '' Buffy the Vampire Slayer'', ''Angel'', '' Lost'', '' 24'', '' Fringe,'' ''Tyrant'' and '' The Tick''. Fury was a co-executive producer and writer for the first season of ''Lost''. He was nominated for a Best Writing Emmy for his episode "Walkabout." He and the writing staff won the Writers Guild of America (WGA) Award for Best Dramatic Series at the February 2006 ceremony for their work on the first season. Fury was born in New York City, the son of a model and a textile salesman. He was a stand-up comic at The Improv, Comedy Cellar, Comedy U and Catch a Rising Star, and founded the comedy theater troupe "Brain Trust" at the Manhattan Punch Line Theater. ''Mad About You'' is an American television sitcom starring Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt as a married couple in New York City. Catch a Rising Star is a chain of comedy clubs, founded in New York City in December 1972 and owned by Rick Newman. It has since spread to other areas, such as Las Vegas and New Jersey. The Improv is a comedy club franchise. It was founded as a single venue in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of New York City in 1963, and expanded into a chain of venues in the late 1970s.
