David Cowper (cricketer)
David Raymond Cowper (born 25 January 1939) is an Australian former cricketer. He played two first-class cricket matches for Victoria during the 1965–66 season as a wicket-keeper. Cowper made his state debut against the touring Marylebone Cricket Club side of 1965–66, called up after an injury to Ray Jordon. Batting at number nine, he made 60 not out in Victoria's first innings and shared in a unbeaten 122 run partnership with Graeme Watson for the eighth wicket. Cowper featured in Victoria's next match against Western Australia, he scored 3 and 22 not out in his only experience of Sheffield Shield cricket. His younger brother, Bob, played alongside him in both his first-class matches. Cowper had a lengthy grade cricket career with Richmond Cricket Club, making a club record 297 appearances between 1958 and 1980. Graeme Watson (cricketer)
Graeme Donald Watson (8 March 1945 – 24 April 2020) was an Australian cricketer who played in five Test matches and two One Day Internationals (ODIs) between 1966 and 1972. Cricket career Watson made his first-class cricket debut for Victoria in 1964–65 before moving to Western Australia from 1971–72 to 1974–75, and then to New South Wales in 1976–77, when he became the first man to play Sheffield Shield cricket for three states. He played minor matches in World Series Cricket in 1977–78 and 1978–79. Watson's highest first-class score came for the Australians against Hampshire County Cricket Club during Australia's tour of England in 1972. He and Keith Stackpole put on 301 for the first wicket, Watson scoring 176 in 234 minutes with 26 fours and five sixes, and taking the Australians to victory by nine wickets. Ian Ronald Bell (born 11 April 1982) is an English former cricketer who played international cricket in all formats for the England cricket team and county cricket for Warwickshire County Cricket Club. Richmond Cricket Club (Melbourne)
The Richmond Cricket Club is an Australian cricket club based in Glen Waverley in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. The club plays in the Victorian Premier Cricket Association. Founded in 1854, the Richmond Cricket Club home ground was for most of its history the Richmond Cricket Ground (better known as the Punt Road Oval), a few hundred metres to the east of the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It was a founding member of the Victorian District/Premier Cricket competition in 1906/07. In 2011, the club moved its home base from Richmond to Central Reserve in Glen Waverley. It continued to be known as Richmond until the 2012/13 season. From the 2013/14 season until the 2019/20 season, the club traded as the Monash Tigers but legally remained known as the Richmond Cricket Club. The Sheffield Shield is the domestic first-class cricket competition of Australia. The tournament is contested between teams representing the six states of Australia.
