David Yonggi Cho
David Yonggi Cho (14 February 1936 – 14 September 2021 as Paul Yungi Cho) was a South Korean Christian minister. With his mother-in-law Choi Ja-shil, he was a cofounder of the Yoido Full Gospel Church (Assemblies of God), the world's largest congregation, with a membership of 830,000 (). Early life Cho was born on 14 February 1936, in Ulju-gun, now part of Ulsan metropolitan city. The son of Cho Doo-chun and Kim Bok-sun, Cho was the eldest of five brothers and four sisters. He graduated from middle school with honours. Because his father's sock and glove business went bankrupt, he could not afford high school or university tuition. Subsequently, he enrolled in an inexpensive technical high school to learn a trade. David Dae-Hyun Cho is an American journalist and editor in chief of '' Barron's''. He was formerly the business editor for ''The Washington Post''. Early life and education Cho was raised in New York. David Cho is an American security officer and former U.S. Secret Service agent who was the Special Agent In Charge of the Presidential Protective Division detail for U.S. President Joe Biden. Prior to the Biden Administration, Cho served as leader of the Presidential Protective Division detail for President Donald Trump. During the Trump Administration, Cho was second in-command of the protective detail. He became the first South Korean-American Special Agent In Charge of a president's Secret Service detail in January 2021.
