Vice-Admiral Sir David Worthington Brown (28 November 1927 – 13 July 2005) was a Royal Navy officer who served as Flag Officer, Plymouth. Vice Admiral (Royal Navy)
A vice-admiral (VAdm) is a flag officer rank of the Royal Navy and equates to the NATO rank code OF-8. It is immediately superior to the Rear admiral (Royal Navy), rear admiral rank and is subordinate to the Admiral (Royal Navy), full admiral rank. The Most Honourable Order of the Bath is a British order of chivalry founded by King George I of Great Britain, George I on 18 May 1725. Admiral (United Kingdom), Admiral Sir Simon Alastair Cassillis Cassels, (5 March 1928 – 6 March 2019) was a senior Royal Navy officer who served as Second Sea Lord, Second Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Personnel from 1982 to 1986. Broadmoor Hospital
Broadmoor Hospital is a high-security psychiatric hospital in Crowthorne, Berkshire, England. It is the oldest of England's three high-security psychiatric hospitals, the other two being Ashworth Hospital near Liverpool and Rampton Secure Hospital in Nottinghamshire. The hospital's catchment area consists of four National Health Service regions: London, Eastern, South East and South West. It is managed by the West London NHS Trust. History The hospital was first known as the Broadmoor Criminal Lunatic Asylum. Completed in 1863, it was built to a design by Sir Joshua Jebb, an officer of the Corps of Royal Engineers, and covered within its secure perimeter. The first patient was a female admitted for infanticide on 27 May 1863. Notes described her as being 'feeble minded'. His Majesty's Naval Base, Devonport (HMNB Devonport) is one of three operating bases in the United Kingdom for the Royal Navy (the others being HMNB Clyde and HMNB Portsmouth) and is the sole nuclear repair and refuelling facility for the Royal Navy.
