David Bevan (footballer)
David Bevan (born 24 June 1989) is an Irish footballer who most recently played for AFC Rushden & Diamonds as a goalkeeper. He began his career with Aston Villa in the Premier League, but left for League One side Walsall without making a first-team appearance at Villa Park. After a single season at Walsall, he dropped to non-league football. Bevan has also represented the Republic of Ireland at various youth levels. Career Aston Villa Born in Cork, Ireland, Bevan joined English football at the start of the 2004–2005 season when he joined Aston Villa's academy from College Corinthians. He joined up with Hull City on loan for part of the 2006–07 season, making a few youth team appearances for the club. David Bevan (judge)
David John Davies Bevan (11 January 1873 – 2 October 1954) was an English-born Australian judge. Life Bevan was born in London in 1873. His parents were Louisa Jane Bevan and Llewelyn David Bevan. They moved to Melbourne in 1886, attending Melbourne Church of England Grammar School and the University of Melbourne, where he was a resident at Trinity College. He enlisted in the University Corps of Officers on 25 September 1896 and was subsequently allotted to the Victorian Garrison Artillery where he was promoted to major in November 1910. In 1914 he was placed on the Unattached List. He practised as a solicitor from 1901 to 1912, when he moved to Darwin to take up a position as the first judge of the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory. David Gordon Bevan (born 11 June 1943) is an English retired cricketer who played as a right-handed batsman between 1964 and 1974 for Gloucestershire. He was also an overseas player for Eastern Province in the 1973/74 season, and played minor county cricket for Suffolk County Cricket Club in 1977. Bevan, who was born in Gloucester, scored 706 first-class runs across his career of 36 matches at a batting average of 13.21, and 107 runs in one day cricket from six games. 101 of these first-class runs were scored in his three games for Eastern Province. The majority of his cricket was played in 1967, when he made 17 County Championship appearances for Gloucestershire, the only season when his number of games reached double figures. Early life He was born in Bishopsgate, London, and educated at Winchester College. He was one of seven sons of Silvanus Bevan (1743-1830), Silvanus Bevan and Louisa Kendall. David Bevan (mathematician)
David Bevan is an English mathematician, computer scientist and software developer. He is known for Bevan's theorem, which gives the asymptotic enumeration of grid classes of permutations and for his work on enumerating the class of permutations avoiding the pattern 1324. He is also known for devising weighted reference counting, an approach to computer memory management that is suitable for use in distributed systems. Work and research Bevan is a lecturer in combinatorics in the department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Strathclyde. He has degrees in mathematics and computer science from the University of Oxford and a degree in theology from the London School of Theology.
