David Arthur Skinner (born 3 January 1980) is a British pianist, bandleader, and composer. Skinner was born on the Isle of Wight. Losen Records (initiated 2010 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian record label founded by Odd Gjelsnes at the distribution company MusikkLosen. Background The distribution company MusikkLosen was founded in 1997 by Odd Gjelsnes, and Losen Records, which is under the operation of MusikkLosen, had its first album release with the album ''Norwegian Song 3'' by Dag Arnesen in late 2010. Ponca Jazz Records is a jazz record label founded by Hilde Hefte in Kristiansand, Norway in 2004 Background Hefte had an idea of releasing the Rolf Søder recording ''Jargong Vålereng' '' with Egil Kapstad as composer, arranger and band leader. This idea evolved and eventually she started the label Ponca Jazz, and ''Jargong Vålereng was released as an album in 2004. Kristoffer Kompen
Kristoffer Kompen (born 14 August 1984 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian Jazz musician (trombone) and composer, known for a series of performances and recordings within bands like "Jazzin' Babies" and with musicians like Eirik Hegdal, Eyolf Dale, David Skinner, Håkon Storm-Mathisen and Kåre Nymark. Career Kompen studied music and music education at the Norwegian Academy of Music (2005–11), and also attended the Agder Musikkonservatorium in Kristiansand (2004/2005) and Kungliga Musikhögskolan in Stockholm (2007/2008). He has toured several times with Rikskonsertene, various big bands and ensembles, theater productions and a variety of bands in jazz and related music. Compensation has been performed in numerous occasions, including with Kringkastingsorkesteret in Den Norske Opera, August 2011.
