David Adamany Undergraduate Library
David Adamany Undergraduate Library (UGL) is one of Wayne State University’s largest libraries built in 1997 named after the university's 8th president, David Adamany. Introduction The David Adamany Undergraduate Library alone provides 2,337 seats, 27 group study rooms, and 3 instruction labs. It has over 500 computer workstations providing students with access to electronic resources. The learning needs of 1000 and 2000 level undergraduate courses are intended to be supported with the wide variety of books and magazines. The library also contains the DeRoy Extended Study Center providing 24-hour access to 140 standard workstations as well as 30 high-end work stations with specialized software. Also, approximately 8000 videos, DVDs, laser discs and audiotapes are in the media collection. David Adamany
David Walter Adamany (September 23, 1936 – November 10, 2016) was the 8th president of Wayne State University, serving from 1983 to 1997. One of Wayne State University's libraries, David Adamany Undergraduate Library, was his creation. Subsequently, Adamany later served as head of the Detroit Public School District from 1999 to 2000. He was Temple University's eighth president, serving from 2000 to 2006. David Adamany died Thursday November 10, 2016. Early life Adamany was born in Janesville, Wisconsin, on September 23, 1936, to Walter Joseph and Dora Marie Adamany, both of Lebanese immigrant descent. He was the oldest of four Adamany children, including one brother and two sisters. After graduating from high school, he received a full scholarship to Harvard University, where he completed his degree in government (magna cum laude, 1958) and juris doctor (J.D.) degree from Harvard Law School (1961). Interstate 75 (I-75) is a major north–south Interstate Highway in the Great Lakes and Southeastern regions of the United States. Interstate 94
Interstate 94 (I-94) is an east–west Interstate Highway connecting the Great Lakes and northern Great Plains regions of the United States. M-10 (Michigan Highway)
M-10 is a state trunkline highway in the Metro Detroit area of Michigan in the United States. Nominally labeled north-south, the route follows a northwest-southeast alignment. The southernmost portion follows Jefferson Avenue in downtown Detroit, and the southern terminus is at the intersection of Jefferson and M-3 (Randolph Street) next to the entrance to the Detroit–Windsor Tunnel. The northern terminus is in West Bloomfield Township at the intersection with Orchard Lake Road. The highway has several names as it runs through residential and commercial areas of the west side of Detroit and into the suburb of Southfield. It is called the John C. A note is a string of text placed at the bottom of a page in a book or document or at the end of a chapter, volume, or the whole text.
