Dave Quincy
David Quincy (born 13 September 1939, Battle, East Sussex, Battle, Sussex), better known as Dave Quincy (and also billed as Dave Quincey), is an English saxophonist and composer who was a founder-member of British jazz-rock bands If (band), If and Zzebra. Before joining If, Quincy had played in the early 1960s with Jet Harris, and with Chris Farlowe and the Thunderbirds from August 1965 to February 1967 where he played with Dave Greenslade (who would also later briefly join If when their first line-up split, before going on to form his own group). Quincy then recorded two albums with Manfred Mann Chapter Three before recording for J. J. Jackson (singer), JJ Jackson, where he met up with Dick Morrissey and Terry Smith (guitarist), Terry Smith, with whom he would form If. When If broke up, Quincy went on to become a founder-member of Zzebra, with Terry Smith. Capitol Records, the band's U.S. label, declined to issue this fourth album. Jamie Talbot
James Robert Talbot (born 23 April 1960 in London) is an English jazz alto saxophonist. Talbot played with the London Schools Symphony Orchestra and then with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. He attended the Royal College of Music during 1978–79, then recorded throughout the decades of the 1980s and 1990s with Clark Tracey, Stan Tracey, Jack Sharpe, John Dankworth, Colin Towns, Guy Barker, Richard Niles, Shorty Rogers, Michael Nyman, and Bud Shank. He also performed with singers Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, George Michael, and Mel Tormé, as well as for the arrangers Nelson Riddle, Gil Evans, and Quincy Jones. Teresa Brewer (born Theresa Veronica Breuer; May 7, 1931 – October 17, 2007) was an American singer whose style incorporated pop, country, jazz, R&B, musicals, and novelty songs. She was one of the most prolific and popular female singers of the 1950s, recording around 600 songs. Early life Brewer was born in Toledo, Ohio, the eldest of five siblings. Her father Ludwig Breuer, a German immigrant, was a glass inspector for the Libbey Owens Company (now part of Pilkington Glass), and her mother Helen (nee Kasap) Breuer, a housewife, was of Polish ancestry. The family were practicing Catholics, and she was a member of the Roman Catholic Church most of her life. Career Her singing career began almost as soon as she was able to walk and talk.
