is a Japanese science fiction media franchise created by Tomy that feature giant robots (or "mecha") called Zoids, with designs being based on animals; including dinosaurs, mammals, insects, arachnids and mythological creatures. Nanaimo ( ) is a city of about 100,000 on the east coast of Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, Canada.
