David Pasin (born July 8, 1966) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre. He was drafted in the first round, 19th overall, by the Boston Bruins in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. The Boston Bruins are a professional ice hockey team based in Boston. 1982–83 WHL Season
The 1982–83 WHL season was the 17th season of the Western Hockey League (WHL). Fourteen teams completed a 72-game season. The Saskatoon Blades topped the regular season standings to capture their second Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy. In the playoffs, the Lethbridge Broncos won the President's Cup, defeating the Portland Winter Hawks in the championship series. The Broncos thus earned a berth in the 1983 Memorial Cup tournament. This was the first Memorial Cup to feature a host team as a fourth participant, and that host was the host Winter Hawks. Portland won the tournament, becoming the first American team to win the Memorial Cup title. The season was the first for the Nanaimo Islanders, after the Billings Bighorns relocated to Vancouver Island prior to the season. The New Haven Nighthawks were a professional ice hockey team that played in the American Hockey League from 1972 to 1992. They had affiliations with the New York Islanders (1972–1973), Minnesota North Stars (1972–1977), New York Rangers (1977–1981 & 1984–1987), and Los Angeles Kings (1981–1991). The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America that serves as the primary developmental league of the National Hockey League (NHL). 1984–85 WHL Season
The 1984–85 WHL season was the 19th season of the Western Hockey League (WHL), featuring fourteen teams and a 72-game regular season. In their third season since joining the WHL, the Prince Albert Raiders put together a dominant run, winning 58 games and the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy for best regular season record. In the playoffs, the Raiders won the Ed Chynoweth Cup, President's Cup, defeating the Kamloops Blazers in the championship series. The Raiders thus earned a berth at the 1985 Memorial Cup tournament, where they won the Memorial Cup title. This was the first season for the Moose Jaw Warriors, with the Winnipeg Warriors relocating to Moose Jaw prior to the season.
