Dave McCarthy (hurler)
David McCarthy (born 1994) is an Irish hurler who plays as a goalkeeper for club side Glenroe and at inter-county level with the Limerick senior hurling team. Career McCarthy first came to prominence at juvenile and underage levels with the Glenroe club before joining the club's adult team. He lined out in goal when the club beat Newcastle West to win the Limerick IHC title in 2019. McCarthy first appeared on the inter-county scene with the Limerick under-21 hurling team that won the All-Ireland Under-21 Championship title in 2015. He ended the season by being named on the Team of the Year. McCarthy's performances in this grade saw him drafted onto the Limerick senior hurling team in 2016, however, he was released from the panel after the conclusion of the 2017 National League. Glenroe GAA
Glenroe Hurling Club is one of the oldest clubs affiliated to the Gaelic Athletic Association. It plays hurling and formerly gaelic football. It plays in competitions organized by Limerick GAA. Located in the Ballyhoura Mountains, County Limerick, Ireland, local parish teams played hurling games from long before the famine of the 1840s and local teams played before the GAA's foundation. History Glenroe became an affiliated club in the 1890s after the foundation of the GAA in 1884. Currently the team plays at intermediate grade. The club is twinned with Ballylanders GAA with whom its members play Gaelic Football. The 2022 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship (SHC) was the 135th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament, since its establishment in 1887 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, 1887. Glenroe Hurlers
''Glenroe'' is an Irish television soap opera broadcast on RTÉ One for 18 years between September 1983 and May 2001. ''Glenroe was'' centred on the lives of the people living in the fictional rural village of the same name in County Wicklow. The real-life village of Kilcoole was used to film the series. The series was also filmed in studio at RTÉ and in various other locations when directors saw fit.
