Dave Hall (Ohio State Representative)
Dave Hall (born November 28, 1960) is a former Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing Ohio's 70th House District from 2009 to 2016. Career Before being elected State Representative, Hall served for more than a decade as County Commissioner in Holmes County. He is a former Park District Director for Holmes County, as well as County Recreation Director. Hall is a past president of the Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association (OMEGA), the Family and Children First Council, and the Multi-County Juvenile Detention Board. Hall is a member of the Ashland, Holmes and Medina County Chambers of Commerce, and is also a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau. Bob Gibbs
Robert Brian Gibbs (born June 14, 1954) is an American farmer and politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 2011 to 2023. He is a member of the Republican Party. On April 6, 2022, Gibbs announced he was not seeking reelection. Early life, education, and agricultural career Gibbs was born on June 14, 1954, in Peru, Indiana. His family moved to Cleveland in the 1960s, and Gibbs graduated from Bay Village Senior High School. In 1974, he graduated from the Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute and moved to Lakeville, Ohio, where he co-founded Hidden Hollow Farms, Ltd. Formerly a producer of swine, Hidden Hollow Farms now produces corn and soybeans. Gibbs served as president of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, Ohio's largest agriculture organization. Darrell Kick
Darrell D. Kick (born December 30, 1968) is the state representative for the 98th district of the Ohio House of Representatives. He is a Republican. The district consists of Ashland County as well as portions of Holmes, Knox, and Coshocton counties. Life and career Kick was born and raised in Loudonville, Ohio, where he was a family farmer and still farms today. Millersburg is a village and the county seat of Holmes County, Ohio, United States located south of Cleveland. The population was 3,025 at the 2010 census. Holmes County Airport, located two miles southwest of Millersburg, serves the county. History The Old Town of Millersburg was laid out by Adam Johnson and Charles Miller of Coshocton County in November 1815. It was located at the north side of the northwest quarter of Section 12, township 9, range 7 adjoining the School Lands, and very near the northwest corner of said quarter section. The Ohio House of Representatives is the lower house of the Ohio General Assembly, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Ohio; the other house of the bicameral legislature being the Ohio Senate. The House of Representatives first met in Chillicothe on March 3, 1803, under the later superseded state constitution of that year. In 1816, the capital was moved to Columbus, where it is located today. Members are limited to four successive two-year elected terms (terms are considered successive if they are separated by less than four years). Holmes County, Ohio
Holmes County is a county located in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 44,223. Its county seat is Millersburg. The county was formed in 1824 from portions of Coshocton, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties and organized the following year. It was named after Andrew Holmes, an officer killed in the War of 1812. Holmes County, which was about 42% Amish in 2010, and 48% in 2020, has the highest concentration of Amish in the world, which draws many visitors to the county. The Ohio Senate is the upper house of the Ohio General Assembly. The State Senate, which meets in the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, first convened in 1803. Senators are elected for four year terms, staggered every two years such that half of the seats are contested at each election.
