David Griffiths (born 26 May 1980) is an English professional golfer. Career Griffiths had a notable amateur career, winning the Carris Trophy and captaining the England boys side before turning professional in 2001. Griffiths reached the final stage of PGA Tour qualifying school in 2002, enabling him to join the Nationwide Tour for 2003, where he would play nine events. For 2004 he returned to Europe, playing the Challenge Tour before successfully completing the European Tour's qualifying school that winter. He played on the European Tour from 2005 to 2008, where his best finishes were a pair of T3s, in the 2007 Estoril Open de Portugal and the 2006 Open de España, which he had led after three rounds. He returned to the Challenge Tour for 2009 after a poor 2008 season, and only made one cut at that level in 2010. David Andrew Griffiths (born 10 September 1985) is an English former cricketer who played at first-class level for Hampshire and Kent County Cricket Clubs in a professional playing career which spanned from 2006 to 2016. Playing as a right-arm fast bowler, he took over 100 wickets in first-class cricket. Early life and career with Hampshire Griffiths was born at Newport on the Isle of Wight in September 1985. He was born into a sporting family, with his Welsh father, Adrian, playing cricket for Wales Minor Counties. He was educated on the Isle of Wight at Sandown High School. David Griffiths (26 November 1963 – 2 March 2007) was a British boxer. He competed in the men's light welterweight event at the 1984 Summer Olympics, reaching the third round. He turned professional after the Games and won the Welsh super light-welterweight title in January 1988 and defended the title the following year. David Griffiths (1867–1935) was an early 20th century American agronomist and botanist who was a specialist on fungi and on spermatophytes, seed-producing plants, especially cacti. Biography David Griffiths grew up in Dakota Territory after his family emigrated there from his birthplace of Aberystwyth, Wales. He attended South Dakota Agricultural College, receiving both a B.A. (1892) and an MSc (1893) from that institution. For a few years after leaving college, he taught high school science classes. David Griffiths (20 December 1792 – 21 March 1863), was a Welsh Christian missionary and translator in Madagascar. He translated the Bible and other books into the Malagasy language. The Malagasy Bible of 1835 was among the first Bibles to be printed in an African language. Life and work David Griffiths was born on 20 December 1792 at Cwmhirbryd cottage and reared at nearby Glanmeilwch, Llangadog, Carmarthenshire, in south Wales.
