David Cayemitte is a former U.S. soccer player who is now the head of the Cayemitte Group, Inc, an insurance, surety bonding and risk management company. Soccer Cayemitte attended Adelphi University where he played on the men's soccer team from 1982 to 1985. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in finance. The Ecuador national football team ( es, Selección de fútbol de Ecuador) represents Ecuador in men's international football and is controlled by the Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF). They joined FIFA in 1926 and CONMEBOL a year later. Discarding an invitation to participate in the inaugural FIFA World Cup held in Uruguay, Ecuador did not make their tournament debut until 2002. Eddie Hawkins is a former U.S. soccer midfielder. In 1984, he became the first native-born black player to appear with the United States men's national soccer team, U.S. national team. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. An early illustration of the first international football match between Scotland and England in 1872 shows the Scottish players wearing cowls, and the English wearing a variety of school caps.
