Daugirdas Šemiotas
Daugirdas Šemiotas (born May 20, 1983) is an amateur boxer from Lithuania who is best known for winning the bronze medal in the light heavyweight division at the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships. He defeated Egypt's Ramadan Yasser 18:9 but was injured and did not fight in the semi-final against Russia's Artur Beterbiyev. At the 2008 Summer Olympics he lost his first bout 3:11 to Yerkebuian Shynaliyev from Kazakhstan. Boxing has been contested at every Summer Olympic Games since its introduction to the program at the 1904 Summer Olympics, except for the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, because Sweden, Swedish law banned the sport at the time. The 2007 AIBA World Boxing Championships were held in Chicago, United States from October 23, 2007 to November 3, 2007. It was held at the UIC Pavilion. Ramadan Yasser Abdel Ghaffar (; born July 19, 1980, in Gharbîya el-Saqriya, Al-Wadi Al-Jadid) is a Boxing, boxer from Egypt. Career Yasser won the gold medal in the men's middleweight division at the Boxing at the 1999 All-Africa Games, 1999 All-Africa Games and went to the Boxing at the 2000 Summer Olympics – Middleweight, Olympics 2000 where he lost his first match 7:8 to Korea's Im Jung-Bin. Artur Asilbekovich Beterbiev (; ; born 21 January 1985) is a Russian and Canadian professional boxer. He held the undisputed light-heavyweight championship between 2024 and February 2025. He also held the International Boxing Organization (IBO) and ''Ring'' magazine titles during his reign as champion. Beterbiev is the first boxer to become the undisputed light-heavyweight champion since Roy Jones Jr. last held that distinction in 2002, and is the first to do so in the "four-belt" era. Yerkebulan Shynaliyev (born October 7, 1987) is an amateur boxer from Kazakhstan best known for winning bronze medals at light heavyweight at the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships and at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
