Lewis Seiler (September 30, 1890 – January 8, 1964) was an American film director. He directed more than 80 films between 1923 and 1958. Seiler was born in New York City, and died at UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, Los Angeles. Carmencita Johnson (March 31, 1923 – September 26, 2000) was an American actress. She was best known as a child actress in the 1920s and 1930s. Early life and career Johnson was born in Los Angeles, California, to Wynonah B. (née Breazeale) and Sidney K. Johnson. She had six siblings, Kenneth, Dick Winslow, Cammilla, Seessel Anne, Cullen, and Payne, all of whom also acted in films. Beginning her career as a child actress, she appeared in the ''Our Gang'' short films when she was just a few months old. A lost film is a feature film, feature or short film in which the original negative or copies are not known to exist in any studio archive, private collection, or public archive. Films can be wholly or partially lost for a number of reasons. Early films were not thought to have value beyond their theatrical run, so many were discarded afterward. Nitrate film used in early pictures was highly flammable and susceptible to degradation. The Library of Congress began acquiring copies of American films in 1909, but not all were kept. Due to improvements in film technology and recordkeeping, few films produced in the 1950s or beyond have been lost. Rarely, but occasionally, films classified as lost are found in an uncataloged or miscataloged archive or private collection, becoming "rediscovered films". Joan Meredith (January 28, 1907 – October 13, 1980) was an American silent film actress. Biography Meredith was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and moved to Hollywood in the mid-1920s after winning a beauty contest that brought her to the attention of talent scouts. She was pretty, with a petite build and was 5 feet tall. Her first credited role was in the 1925 film '' Blue Blood'', starring alongside George Walsh. She starred in two films that year, and was one of thirteen girls selected to be "WAMPAS Baby Stars", a list which included June Marlowe, now famous for her role on the ''Our Gang'' serials. Her second film of 1925 was opposite Dorothy Dwan in ''The Perfect Clown''.
