Darryn Peterson
Darryn Peterson (born January 17, 2007) is an American high school basketball player for Prolific Prep. He is a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top players in the 2025 recruiting class. Early life and high school career Peterson was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. His father, Darryl Peterson II, played basketball at Western Hills High School in Cincinnati from 1997 to 2001 and at the University of Akron from 2001 to 2006. His older brother, Darryl Peterson III, won multiple state football titles at Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron before playing at the University of Wisconsin. Peterson attended Hartford Middle School in Canton. He enrolled at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (CVCA) over nearby Canton McKinley High School due to academic reasons. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Generally, point guards are expected to be proficient in passing the ball and being able to get Assist (basketball), assists to teammates. The Kansas State Wildcats men's basketball team represents Kansas State University in college basketball competition. Archbishop Hoban High School is a Catholic college-preparatory school in Akron, Ohio. It is sponsored by the Catholic religious order Brothers of Holy Cross.
