Darryl James Briskey (born 24 August 1955) is a former Australian politician. Born in Roma, Queensland, he was a teacher before entering politics. In 1978, he joined the Cleveland branch of the Labor Party. In 1989, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Queensland as the Labor member for Redlands, transferring to Cleveland Cleveland ( ), officially the City of Cleveland, is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Cuyahoga County. Andrew Laming
Andrew Charles Laming (born 30 September 1966) is a former Australian politician who was a member of the House of Representatives representing the Division of Bowman, Queensland, for the Liberal National Party of Queensland from 2004 to 2022. He sat with the Liberal Party in federal parliament. Laming was a medical practitioner and a management consultant before entering politics. He is the son of former Queensland state Liberal MP Bruce Laming, who held the seat of Mooloolah from 1992 until 2001, and served as Deputy Speaker of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. The 2013 Australian federal election to elect the members of the 44th Parliament of Australia took place on 7 September 2013. The Legislative Assembly of Queensland is the sole chamber of the unicameral Parliament of Queensland established under the Constitution of Queensland. Elections are held every four years and are done by full preferential voting. The Assembly has 93 members, who have used the letters MP after their names since 2000 (previously they were styled MLAs).
