Darren Sheridan
Darren Stephen Sheridan (born 8 December 1967) is an English former association football, footballer and manager. As a player, Sheridan played as a centre midfielder. He had one spell as a player-manager, with Barrow A.F.C., Barrow, before managing Salford City F.C., Salford City. After a career in non-league football he moved to Barnsley F.C., Barnsley, with whom he played in the Premier League in 1997–98 FA Premier League, 1997–98. He then spent time with Wigan Athletic F.C., Wigan Athletic and Oldham Athletic A.F.C., Oldham Athletic, before moving to Scotland for three years with Clyde F.C., Clyde and St Johnstone F.C., St Johnstone. He moved back to England with Conference North club Barrow A.F.C., Barrow in January 2007, and was made co-manager with Dave Bayliss in December 2007. Stretford is a market town in Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, sited on flat ground between the River Mersey and the Manchester Ship Canal; the Bridgewater Canal bisects the town. John Sheridan (footballer)
John Joseph Sheridan (born 1 October 1964) is an Irish former football player and manager. A midfielder, he began his playing career with Manchester City and then moved to Leeds United, where he scored 47 league goals in 230 appearances. He played for Nottingham Forest briefly, under the management of Brian Clough, and then joined Sheffield Wednesday, for whom he scored the winning goal in the 1991 Football League Cup Final at Wembley Stadium. Near the end of his time with the club, he played for Birmingham City and Bolton Wanderers on loan before joining the latter permanently. Sheridan made 199 league appearances for Wednesday and scored 25 goals. He won the First Division title with Bolton in 1997. Sheridan then played for Doncaster Rovers after leaving Bolton and then joined Oldham Athletic, where he spent the last six years of his playing career, scoring 14 league goals in 144 appearances. The Football Association Challenge Trophy, also known as the Isuzu FA Trophy for sponsorship reasons, is a men's football knockout cup competition run by and named after The Football Association (the FA) and competed by mainly National League teams. The competition was introduced in 1969. Eligibility rules have changed over time, but from 2008 onwards the competition has been open to clubs playing in Steps 1–4 of the National League System, equivalent to tiers 5–8 of the overall English football league system. This covers the National League, the Southern League, Isthmian League, and Northern Premier League. Dave Bayliss
David Anthony Bayliss (born 8 June 1976) is an English football scout. He previously played in defence, and was manager at Barrow. Career Born in Liverpool, Merseyside, Bayliss joined Rochdale and progressed through the ranks, making his Football League debut in the 1994–95 season. He went on to make 186 league appearances for them, scoring nine times, before joining Luton Town during 2001–02. He spent four seasons at Kenilworth Road, making 37 league appearances and also had nine games on loan to Chester City before being released in the summer of 2005. He spent the next season with Wrexham making 22 league appearances and he also had a four-game loan spell back at Rochdale. In the summer of 2006, he joined Lancaster City but then left at the start of November to join Barrow. He later become joint-manager of Barrow.
