Darren Bond
Darren Bond (born 1978) is an English football referee from Lancashire who currently officiates in the Premier League. Early career Born in Lancashire in 1978, Bond began refereeing when he was 15. By 2016 he had 20 years of experience, including one year as an assistant referee in the Premier League, and was named on the Select Group Two list of referees for the EFL Championship. Career On 19 September 2017 in the third round of the EFL Cup between Burnley and Leeds United, Bond ruled that the penalty shootout would be held in front of the home fans at Turf Moor, on the safety advice of the Lancashire Constabulary. Burnley lost it 5–3. In 2018 and 2020 he faced criticism for on-field decisions made against Peterborough United and Cardiff City. Robert Joseph Andrew Dickie (born 3 March 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays for club Bristol City as a defender. He has represented England at U19 level. Club career Reading Dickie joined Reading as an eight-year-old. In the 2013-14 season, Dickie made 34 appearances playing every minute of the FA Youth Cup campaign for the under-18s where he scored in the semi-final against Fulham. Shane Patrick Long (born 22 January 1987) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a striker. Long began his football career at Cork City. Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) is the body responsible for refereeing games in English professional association football. Formerly known as the Professional Game Match Officials Board (PGMOB), the PGMOL was formed when English referees became professional in 2001, to provide officials for all games played in the Premier League, English Football League (EFL) and Football Association (FA) competitions.
