Darnell Wilson
Darnell Wilson (born September 22, 1974) is an American boxer. He challenged once for the WBA World Cruiserweight title in 2008. He is perhaps best remembered for his brutal left-hook knockouts of Emmanuel Nwodo and David Rodriguez. Background Born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland, He graduated from Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Darnell Wilson (born June 23, 1966) is an American former boxer. That was a 1996 Light Middleweight US Olympic Alternate. Amateur career Born on the Southside of Chicago, Wilson started boxing in 1980 at the age of 14. He was coached by Tom O'Shea. Wilson was an amateur standout and was the 1993 National Golden Gloves Light Middleweight Champion. He later went on to become the United States Amateur Light middleweight champion in 1997–1999. Robert Dale Brown (born December 15, 1971), known as Dale Brown, is a Canadian former professional boxer who competed from 1995 to 2007. As an amateur he represented Canada in the light heavyweight division at the 1992 Summer Olympics, losing to the eventual gold medallist Torsten May in the round of 16. Andre Purlette (born 4 November 1973) is a Guyanese former professional boxer who competed from 1992 to 2009. Known as "Tombstone", Purlette turned pro in 1992 and won his first 32 bouts, including a victory over Jimmy Thunder. He later lost to veteran Jeremy Williams in 2003 and KOd by Aaron Williams in 2008. His professional career began when he was 19, on Boxing Day 1992, with a first round knockout of Alberto Ellis at the National Park.
