Darna (band)
Darna was a Spanish power metal band from Oviedo, Asturias, Spain. Formed in 1998, they released two successful albums before the drummer's departure in 2004 led the remaining band members to decide to disband the group and focus on separate projects. History Early days and ''Darna'' (1998-2001) On September, 1998, Dani and Ruth began to develop a musical project and invited Álvaro Jardón (bass) and Rafael Yugueros (drums) to join them, they accepted and started working on the songs that had been composed and the ones that were still on writing. Silvia was the last member to join the band and with her guitar gave power and a solid rhythmic base. They entered the studio on the middle of 2000 and started the recording of what would become their debut album with the songs composed, most of them contained a conceptual story. Alberto Ardines (born 4 July 1970) is a Spanish musician. He is working on a new alternative/power metal band called Sauze that he formed with Manuel Ramil, Fernando Mon, and Toni Amboaje. Career Born in Oviedo, when he was almost 12 years old, he started getting interested in music, but it was not until he was 14 that he discovered his passion for heavy metal. In 1989, he formed the band called Speed Demons with some friends from school. After changing the band's name for Avalanch and leaving back some friends with the ones he started recorded some EPs, he went to the recording studio to make his first album '' Ready To The Glory'', which was released in 1992. In 1996, he began taking drumming classes with Fernando Arias a wonderful drummer, who taught him some different styles. El Lado Oscuro ( en: "The Dark Side") is the second studio album by power metal band DarkSun, released in 2004. The band entered the studios at the end of 2003. Just like '' El Legado'', this album was recorded in Germany, with Ingo Cjavkoski in the production. This time the band had Dennis Ward on mixings. (who was better known for his work with Angra), and Lars Ratz (from Metalium) assisted on the vocals production. Once again the reviews were as good as they could possibly be, like "...it's a varied work, where power and heavy metal alternate and mi", and "''El Lado Oscuro'' is a really good power metal album". ''Alea Jacta Est'' ( en: "The Die Is Cast") is the third studio album by the Asturian power metal band WarCry, released on January 1, 2004, (see 2004 in music and 2004 in heavy metal music) and distributed through Avispa. Overview ''Alea Jacta Est'' was mastered in the M-20 Studios in Madrid by Francisco Martínez, produced by Víctor and Alberto, and co-produced by Slaven Kolak. Esteban Casasolas mixed it in Jaus Records where was also edited, and the graphic design ran by Ricardo Menéndez. the first album to feature writing contributions from all the band members (excluding Ardines and Mon), turning all the music and lyrics more introspective. ''El Sello de los Tiempos'' ( en: "The Seal of Times") is the second studio album by the Spanish power metal band WarCry, released on December 1, 2002 (see 2002 in music and 2002 in heavy metal music) through Avispa Music. This album is considered to be their first effort as a band, because all the musicians appeared as full-time members, and contributed to the composition, arrangements, and recording of the album. It had a great reception in Spain and the band won several metal music awards.
