Mike Richardson (publisher)
Mike Richardson (born June 29, 1950) is an American publisher, writer, and producer. In 1986, he founded Dark Horse Comics, an international publishing house located in Milwaukie, Oregon. Richardson is also the founder and President of the Things From Another World retail chain and president of Dark Horse Entertainment, which has developed and produced numerous projects for film and television based on Dark Horse properties or licensed properties. In addition, he has written graphic novels and comics series, including: '' The Secret'', ''Living with the Dead'', and ''Cut'' as well as co-authoring two non-fiction books, ''Comics Between the Panels'' and ''Blast Off!''. Dark Matter (2015 TV Series)
''Dark Matter'' is a science fiction television series that premiered in 2015, developed by Prodigy Pictures in association with the Space channel and the Syfy channel. The concept was created by Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie while they were working on the ''Stargate'' franchise, and was originally published as a comic book series in 2012. An order for 13 episodes was placed for the first season of the series, which premiered on June 12, 2015, on both Space and Syfy. On September 5, 2015, the series was renewed for a second season. ''Dark Matter'' was renewed for a third season in September 2016, which premiered on June 9, 2017. On September 1, 2017, Syfy canceled the series. Grendel (comics)
''Grendel'' is a long-running series of comic books originally created by American author Matt Wagner. First published in 1982 by Comico, Wagner later moved publication of the series to Dark Horse. Originally a noir comic in the style of European titles such as ''Diabolik'', it has evolved into, in Wagner's words, a study of the nature of aggression. In 2009, Hunter Rose (the first Grendel) was ranked as IGN's 88th-greatest villain of all time. Overview Grendel was the masked identity of Hunter Rose, a successful author.
