Dark Connection
''Dark Connection'' is the third studio album by Finnish heavy metal band Beast in Black, released on 29 October 2021. Similar to their debut album ''Berserker'', several songs reference well known science fiction series like ''Blade Runner'' with several songs containing direct references to the anime '' Armitage III''. The album charted well, ranking number one in their home country, and did well in Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. Four videos were produced for the tracks "Moonlight Rendezvous", "Hardcore", "One Night in Tokyo" and "Blade Runner". The album was dedicated to Kentaro Miura, the author of '' Berserk'' after his death earlier that year. Reception Upon its release, ''Dark Connection'' was praised by critics. Beast in Black is a Finnish Heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in Helsinki in 2015 by guitarist and songwriter Anton Kabanen. The band's blend of power metal, 80s pop, and electronic music, as well as their energetic live performances, have made them pioneers of their genre. Berserk (manga)
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura. Set in a medieval Europe–inspired dark fantasy world, the story centers on the characters of Guts, a lone swordsman, and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary band called the "Band of the Hawk". The series follows Guts' journey seeking revenge on Griffith, who betrayed him and the rest of their comrades. Miura premiered a prototype of ''Berserk'' in 1988. The series began the following year in Hakusensha's manga magazine ', which was replaced in 1992 by the semimonthly magazine '' Young Animal'', where ''Berserk'' has continued its publication. Kasperi Heikkinen (born 1980) is a Finnish guitarist who is best known as a former member of symphonic power metal band Amberian Dawn. He played in the band from early 2007 until late 2012. He is also the guitarist for Finnish metal bands Merging Flare and Guardians of Mankind, which is a Gamma Ray tribute band. Heikkinen performed with German metal band U.D.O. from 2013 until 2017. He currently resides in Helsinki. As a touring musician, Heikkinen has played on part of the German power metal band Gamma Ray's Majestic tour in 2006 following an injury to Henjo Richter. Joey DeMaio (born March 6, 1954) is an American musician who is the bass player and main songwriter for the Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Manowar which he founded in 1980. He is also the founder and CEO of Magic Circle Music. Biography He is a childhood friend of Manowar singer Eric Adams (singer), Eric Adams. DeMaio played bass in several school bands. Manowar is an American heavy metal band from Auburn, New York. Formed in 1980, the group is known for lyrics based on fantasy (particularly sword and sorcery) and mythology (particularly Norse mythology and Greco-Roman mythology), as well as numerous songs celebrating the genre and its core audience. ''Battle Hymns'' is the debut studio album by American heavy metal band Manowar, released in June 1982 by Liberty Records. It features the title track "Battle Hymn", and a song featuring a narration from actor Orson Welles, "Dark Avenger".
