Dariusz Karłowicz (born 5 July 1964) is a Polish philosopher, university lecturer, columnist, and a book publisher. Recipient of the Officer's Cross Order of Polonia Restituta for cultural accomplishments (2023) and the Cavaler's Cross Order of Polonia Restituta for charity work (2012). The president of the St. Nicolas Foundation (Fundacja Świętego Mikołaja) - an NGO involved in charitable, educational, and scientific activity. An Editor-in-chief of the Polish philosophical magazine "Political Theology" ("Teologia Polityczna") which analyzes the connections and relationships between philosophy, religion, and politics. The Order of Polonia Restituta (, ) is a Polish state decoration, state Order (decoration), order established 4 February 1921. It is conferred on both military and civilians as well as on alien (law), foreigners for outstanding achievements in the fields of education, science, sport, culture, art, economics, national security, national defense, social work, civil service, or for furthering good relations between countries. Let's Paint Catholicism Again
Let's Paint Catholicism Again (pol. ''Namalować katolicyzm od nowa'') – a project aimed at renewing Western sacral painting, introducing high-quality contemporary painting to the Catholic churches and revitalizing the artistic patronage. It's originator was Dariusz Karłowicz. It was initiated by three cooperating institutions: Saint Nicholas Foundation, Political Theology and St. John Paul II Institute of Culture (at Angelicum University). The project consists of a range of initiatives: book series "Let's Paint Catholicism Again", seminars, conferences, lectures and art exhibitions. Each year a Mystery of the Rosary is selected. A group of invited Polish painters create paintings illustrating the Mystery. Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW; ) is a Polish state university created on the basis of the Academy of Catholic Theology in Warsaw.
