Darius Osei
Darius Junior Osei (born 2 June 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays for Ashton United as a striker. Career After beginning his career with Stalybridge Celtic, he signed a one-year contract with Oldham Athletic in July 2016. He scored his first goals for Oldham when he scored twice in an EFL Trophy tie against Carlisle United on 30 August 2016. On 9 January 2018, after being released by Oldham, Osei joined National League side Maidstone United on a deal until the end of the 2017–18 season. Osei featured nine times, scoring once before being released in May 2018. in September 2019 he rejoined Stalybridge Celtic. In February 2020 he moved to South Shields. In October 2022, Osei joined Ashton United on loan. He signed for Marine in July 2023. In November 2023, Osei returned to Stalybridge Celtic on a one-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee. The 2020–21 season was the 53rd season of the Northern Premier League. The league consists of three divisions, the Premier Division at Step 3 of the National League System, and the West and East Divisions at Step 4. As the previous season was terminated due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with all results removed, there were no changes in the allocations of teams for the Northern Premier League. The planned restructuring of the National League System, including the expansion of the Northern Premier League to include a further division at Step 4, was postponed until 2021–22. For this season it was announced to member clubs that the League Cup would not take place during the season. Due to the restrictions on clubs' ability to play matches in the COVID-19 lockdowns, competitions at Steps 3–6 were curtailed on 24 February 2021. 2019–20 Northern Premier League
The 2019–20 season was the 52nd season of the Northern Premier League. After one season, the two divisions of Division One were re-aligned from West and East to North West and South East. The League announced on 8 July 2019 that the new sponsors for 2019–20 were BetVictor. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, this season's competition was formally abandoned on 26 March 2020, with all results from the season being expunged, and no promotion or relegation taking place to, from, or within the competition. On 30 March 2020, sixty-six non-league clubs sent an open letter to the Football Association requesting that they reconsider their decision.
