Dario Šits
Dario Šits (born 4 February 2004) is a Latvian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Italian club Parma and the Latvia national team. Club career Born in Kuldīga, Šits started playing football at FK Metta, before joining Italian side Parma in 2020. Following his performances for the Under-17 and Primavera teams, the forward earned his first call-ups to the club's first team during the 2021–22 season, under head coach Giuseppe Iachini. On 2 March 2022, Šits made his professional debut for Parma, starting in a 1–1 Serie B draw against AC Monza. On 11 March, shortly after coming on as a substitute in a league match against Cittadella, the forward earned a penalty kick for his side, which was then missed by Juan Brunetta: the fixture ended in a 1–1 draw. On 6 October of the same year, Šits extended his contract with Parma until 2026. Jānis Ikaunieks (born 16 February 1995) is a Latvian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Rīgas FS and the Latvia national team. Club career Liepājas Metalurgs Ikaunieks was born in Kuldīga. As a youth player, he played for the youth teams of Liepājas Metalurgs. Ikaunieks scored 11 goals in 20 matches in the 2012 First League season contributing to Liepājas Metalurgs II winning the championship. Having been promoted to the first team in 2013, Ikaunieks debuted on 7 April in the Higher League in a 2–1 defeat against FK Daugava. Throughout his professional debut season, he played 19 league matches and scored three goals. Paolo Nicolato (born 21 December 1966) is an Italian football manager, currently in charge of the Latvia national football team. Vladislavs Gutkovskis (born 2 April 1995) is a Latvian professional footballer who plays as a forward for South Korean K League 1 club Daejeon Hana Citizen and the Latvia national team. Club career Gutkovskis started his career with JFK Olimps in his home country of Latvia. He made 13 first-team appearances for the club before joining fellow Latvian side Skonto FC a year later. For the first team, Gutkovskis played 73 times, scored 45 goals, and assisted eight times, before moving to Termalica Nieciecza in Poland in 2016.
