Darcy's Law
Darcy's law is an equation that describes the flow of a fluid through a porous medium. The law was formulated by Henry Darcy based on results of experiments on the flow of water through beds of sand, forming the basis of hydrogeology, a branch of earth sciences. It is analogous to Ohm's law in electrostatics, linearly relating the volume flow rate of the fluid to the hydraulic head difference (which is often just proportional to the pressure difference) via the hydraulic conductivity. Background Darcy's law was first determined experimentally by Darcy, but has since been derived from the Navier–Stokes equations via homogenization methods. It is analogous to Fourier's law in the field of heat conduction, Ohm's law in the field of electrical networks, and Fick's law in diffusion theory. Darcy Lussick (born 6 June 1989) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for Featherstone Rovers in the RFL Championship, on loan from Betfred Super League side Salford Red Devils. He previously played for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in two separate spells and the Parramatta Eels in the NRL. Early life Kistler was born in Riverside, California, the fifth child (with four older brothers) of a medical doctor and his wife. Lynne has been credited with the revival of ventriloquism, earning praise and numerous accolades for her work. Dame Darcey Andrea Bussell, (born Marnie Mercedes Darcey Pemberton Crittle; 27 April 1969) is an English retired ballerina and a former judge on the BBC television dance contest ''Strictly Come Dancing''. Darcy Tucker (born March 15, 1975) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played most of his National Hockey League (NHL) career with the Toronto Maple Leafs. A sixth round draft choice, Tucker began his NHL career with the Montreal Canadiens. Throughout his NHL career he also played for the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Colorado Avalanche.
