Chris Avram (born Cristea Avram; August 31, 1931 – January 10, 1989) was a Romanian-Italian film actor. Early life and career Avram was born in Bucharest, into a family of active communists (his father being a member of the Romanian Communist Party while it was still banned, and his brother, Puiu, a Communist activist). In his youth, he attended a military school, after which he studied law for two years at the University of Bucharest, before being admitted to the Academy of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography. After graduation, he worked for a while as a theater actor in TimiÈ™oara, before joining the in Bucharest. At a film festival in Moscow, he befriended Marina Vlady, who later went to Romania to star in , directed by Henri Colpi. With her help, he managed to flee to Paris in 1966, where he remained. Victor Rebengiuc (; known in full as Victor-George Rebengiuc; born 10 February 1933) is a Romanian film and stage actor, also known as a civil society activist. Since 1957, he has been a member of the Bulandra Theater company, acting in more than 200 roles on that stage alone. Having had his breakthrough performance with Liviu Ciulei's '' The Forest of the Hanged'', Rebengiuc became a major figure in Romanian cinema, and became especially known for his 1986 appearance in Stere Gulea's ''MoromeÈ›ii''. The 14th Cannes Film Festival was held from 3 to 18 May 1961. The Palme d'Or went to the '' Une aussi longue absence'', directed by Henri Colpi and '' Viridiana'', directed by Luis Buñuel. Ion Dichiseanu (20 October 1933 – 20 May 2021) was a Romanian actor. He was known, among other things, for playing in ''Kampf um Rom'', ''Titanic Waltz'' and ''Mofturi 1900''.
