Nick Baker (Kentucky Politician)
Henry Nicholas Baker (born 1937) is an American politician from Kentucky who was a member of the Kentucky Senate from 1970 to 1978. He is known for his efforts to promote women's basketball in Kentucky at the high school and collegiate levels. Early life Henry Nicholas Baker was born in Hazard, Kentucky in 1937. After graduating from Hazard High School in 1955, Baker attended Georgetown College, he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order alongside Carroll Hubbard. He studied briefly at the University of Kentucky, where he knew future governor John Y. Brown Jr. Baker then returned to Georgetown, from which he graduated in 1959. He then joined the U.S. Army Reserve and served six months of active duty. Baker moved to Louisville in 1960 and began law school at the University of Louisville School of Law. Daniel DeVerl "Malano" Seum (born January 28, 1940) is an American politician. He was a member of the Kentucky Senate, representing the 38th district from 1995 to 2019. Seum began his career as a member of the Democratic party. He was first elected to the state house in 1981, defeating incumbent Republican Dexter Wright.
