Daniel H. Johnson (August 18, 1936 – June 29, 2014) was a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 110th district. He served from 1997 to 2011. Danny Ray Johnson (October 18, 1960December 13, 2017) was an American religious leader and politician whose many extravagant biographical claims were refuted in an exposé released two days before his suicide. Married twice with five children, Johnson was originally from Louisiana, but had settled in Kentucky's Louisville metropolitan area by the 1980s. Throughout his life, Johnson claimed to have been involved with many prominent Americans and in many important US events; however, evidence would later come to light disputing most of these claims. After becoming involved with Christianity in his youth, Johnson traveled with missionaries in Tennessee and South America before founding a controversial Louisville-area church in the late 1970s—Heart of Fire Church. Dan Johnson (born May 17, 1960) is a former professional American football player who played tight end for seven seasons for the Miami Dolphins. Before his NFL career, Jonson played college football at Iowa State University. He did not play until his Junior season, and caught only 4 passes that year (though they were good for 116 yards and two touchdowns). As a senior, Johnson caught 21 passes for 290 yards. He was later selected by Miami with their 7th round pick in the 1983 NFL draft. Johnson told ESPN's John Barr on January 28, 2011, that he took about 1000 pain killers per month during his playing days, as a result of the numerous injuries and broken bones he suffered. Daniel Ryan Johnson (born August 10, 1979) is an American former professional baseball first baseman. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for six teams, over ten seasons, as well as one season in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), but never held a Major League starting job for an entire season. He is perhaps best known for hitting a dramatic two-out, two-strike home run for the Tampa Bay Rays in the bottom of the ninth inning of the last game of the 2011 season, also known as Wild Card Wednesday. That home run tied the game, which the Rays eventually won, sending them to the playoffs. His clutch hitting for the Rays, along with his red hair and beard, earned him the nickname "The Great Pumpkin". Daniel Douglas Johnson (October 1, 1944 – March 6, 1993) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who spent three seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) and another three seasons in the World Hockey Association (WHA) during the 1970s. He was a member of the Vancouver Canucks' inaugural NHL team in 1970. Playing career Johnson was signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs following his junior career and spent five seasons with their Central Hockey League (CHL) affiliate, the Tulsa Oilers. He played college football at Southern and was signed by Washington as an undrafted free agent in 2018. Daniel Kent Neil Johnson (born c. 1969) is a Canadian-American microeconomist and entrepreneur. He is currently an associate professor in the economics department at Colorado College. His most notable research has been in predicting Olympic medals. Research Johnson's Olympic Medals Model uses five variables: country's per-capita income, population, political structure, climate, and host-nation advantage. The model does not take into account athletic abilities of any star Olympians. It has demonstrated 94% accuracy for predicting national medal counts and 87% accuracy for gold medal counts.
