Danny Eyles
Danny Eyles is a professional racing driver, competing in the British Drift Championship, Prodrift Super Series, European Drift Championship and JDM Allstars series. Since winning the amateur competition final at Teesside Autodrome in 2006 in his Nissan Skyline R33, Danny was approached by Team JapSpeed, and was proud to accept the offer of some sponsorship for the following season in 2007 in the Eurodrift Pro class. This year Danny and teammate Shane Lynch obtained European Drift Championship licences, and later won the team drift event at Knockhill Circuit. The following year, Danny achieved consistent results in the EDC, however at the second round at Silverstone Circuit, Danny and teammate Shane Lynch had a huge collision, totalling both cars. For 2009, Team Japspeed built two purpose built Nissan Silvia S15 drift cars for Shane and Danny to replace the cars which were totalled. British Drift Championship
The British Drift Championship is a drifting series held in the UK. It is the highest level of competition drifting in the UK. The series began as a feeder series to the European Drift Championship. However, the partnership between the BDC and EDC organisers ended at the end of the season and the BDC became a professional series in its own right. The series originally had two classes, Semi-Pro and Pro. However, due to the vast growth of the championship a third class was added for the 2011 season, called 'Super Pro' which became the highest class. The top drivers in the Pro class were merged into this new class. For the 2015 season the championship reverted to two classes; the three classes from 2014 were merged to create the Pro-Am and Pro class. A feeder series called Drift Cup was created to allow those wishing to take part in the series the chance to prove they have what it takes to drive in the main championship. European Drift Championship
The European Drift Championship (EDC) was an annual drifting series held in the United Kingdom from 2007–2012. The series was previously known as D1 Great Britain (D1GB) in 2006 and D1UK from 2002–2005, but event organizers disassociated from the D1 Grand Prix in 2007. D1UK was also known as the Autoglym Drift Championship due to sponsorship by Autoglym. In 2008, EDC introduced the British Drift Championship (BDC) as a feeder series, but the BDC broke off to form its own annual professional series just a year later and, as of 2020, is now aligned with Formula D. In 2010 the championship organisers made the controversial move to change from a Top 16 to a Top 8 invitational format. Shane Lynch
Shane Eamon Mark Stephen Lynch (born 3 July 1976) is an Irish singer, but best known as a member of Boyzone. In recent years, he has taken up auto racing, participated in reality shows such as ''Celebrity Big Brother'' in 2018 and appeared as a judge on ''The All Ireland Talent Show''. Knockhill Circuit
Knockhill Racing Circuit is a motor racing circuit in Fife, Scotland. It opened in September 1974 and is Scotland's national motorsport centre. The circuit is located in the countryside about north of Dunfermline. It is the only FIA approved circuit in Scotland. History The circuit opened in September 1974. It was created by joining service roads to a nearby disused mineral railway, closed in 1951, which served Lethans Colliery. The first car race was held on 18 May 1975. Between 1974 and 1983 the circuit had several different owners which helped to steadily develop the circuit's facilities and attractions. Silverstone Circuit
Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Towcester, Silverstone and Whittlebury. It is the home of the British Grand Prix, which it first hosted as the 1948 British Grand Prix. The 1950 British Grand Prix at Silverstone was the first race in the newly created World Championship of Drivers. The race rotated between Silverstone, Aintree and Brands Hatch from 1955 to 1986, but settled permanently at the Silverstone track in 1987. Nissan Silvia S15
The is the series of small sports cars produced by Nissan. Versions of the Silvia have been marketed as the 200SX or 240SX for export, with some export versions being sold under the Datsun brand. The name "Silvia" is derived from Sylvia, the name of the nymph who served Diana, the Roman goddess of the hunt and chastity. The name also means "forest" in Latin. Donington Park
Donington Park is a motorsport circuit located near Castle Donington in Leicestershire, England. The circuit business is now owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, and the surrounding Donington Park Estate, still owned by the Wheatcroft family, is currently under lease by MotorSport Vision until 2038. It has a capacity of 120,000, and is also the venue of the Download Festival. Originally part of the Donington Hall estate, it was created as a racing circuit during the period between the First and Second World Wars when the German Silver Arrows were battling for the European Championship. Used as a military vehicle storage depot during the Second World War, it fell into disrepair until bought by local construction entrepreneur Tom Wheatcroft.
