We the Kings is an American rock band formed in Bradenton, Florida, in 2005. The band's eponymous full-length debut album, released in 2007, included the platinum single " Check Yes Juliet", and went on to sell over 250,000 copies in the US. The group's second album '' Smile Kid'' (2009) included Top 40 singles "Heaven Can Wait" and " We'll Be a Dream" (featuring Demi Lovato), as well as the single "She Takes Me High". The band's third album '' Sunshine State of Mind'' was released in 2011 and featured the MTV Video Music Award winner for Most Innovative Music Video of the Year for the group's interactive music video and song "Say You Like Me". ''Sunshine State of Mind'' is the third studio album by American rock band We the Kings, released on July 5, 2011. Background While writing new material, We the Kings used piano and acoustic guitars. Travis Clark explained that he "wanted all the songs to be able to be stripped down with acoustic and vocals, and he bandbuilt it off that." Release ''Sunshine State of Mind'' was released through S-Curve Records on July 5, 2011 on iTunes and July 12 everywhere else. "Say You Like Me" was released to mainstream radio on September 13, 2011. PureVolume (formerly Unborn Media) was a website for uploading and streaming of music files, the first independently run of its type. PureVolume was created by Unborn Media, Inc; Mitchell Pavao; Brett Woitunski; and Nate Hudson, all from the University of Massachusetts. PureVolume is a website for the discovery and promotion of new music and emerging artists. The mission was to give artists a new promotion tool. Each artist had a profile that typically contains basic info, updates, photos, shows and music for streaming. Artists had the option of making each of their songs available for free download. Jessica Charlotte Poland (born January 15, 1988) is an American singer-songwriter, known professionally as JPOLND, Charlotte Sometimes, and Laces. Her debut album '' Waves and the Both of Us'' was released on May 6, 2008. She has released one full-length album and five EPs. In 2014, Poland retired her stage name and started a new project called LACES. Early life and education Poland was adopted by her parents, Hartson and Tracy Poland, as a baby. She was introduced to her birth mother at age 13. At age 14, Poland started playing guitar and writing songs. Around the same time, she was diagnosed with condylar resorption, a rare disease causing her jaw to essentially break apart, impairing her ability to sing. Sing It Loud was an American pop rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. History Sing It Loud grew out of a friendship between cousins vocalist Pat Brown and guitarist Kieren Smith, who founded the group together and added members whom they met locally in the Minneapolis music scene. Brown officially brought the group together after his previous band, The Semester, called it quits. He was the former singer and guitarist for local legends The Semester. The Cab is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. The band consists of lead vocalist Alexander DeLeon, keyboardist Alex T. Marshall and bassist Joey Thunder. ''Somewhere Somehow'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band We the Kings. It is the first album without bassist Drew Thomsen, who was replaced by Charles Trippy. Keyboardist Coley O'Toole was also added into the lineup. After parting ways with S-Curve Records, the group released the single "Just Keep Breathing" in April 2013.
