Danny Dengzongpa
Danny Denzongpa (born Tshering Phintso Denzongpa; 25 February 1948) is an Indian actor, playback singer, film director, and liquor baron. His film career was primarily in Hindi, but also occasionally in Bengali, Nepali, and Tamil films. In a career spanning five decades, has acted in over 190 films since 1971. In 2003, Denzongpa was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honour. He has also starred in some international films, the most famous being '' Seven Years in Tibet'' where he appeared alongside Brad Pitt. St. Joseph's College, Darjeeling, established in 1927, is a govt-aided and self financed, Christian minority, co-educational institution in West Bengal. Originally part of St. Joseph’s School (1888), it was first affiliated with the University of Calcutta, and since 1962, with the University of North Bengal.
