Flavor was a 1960s rock group that was led by Gary St. Clair (record producer), Gary St. Clair. They are remembered for their national hit "Sally Had a Party" and the breakout hit "Heart-Teaser (song), Heart-Teaser". Background Flavor was a group from Frederick, Maryland. It was made up of guitarist, Demetri Callas (born 7 June 1942), vocalist, keyboardist, bassist, guitarist Gary St. Clair (record producer), Gary St. Clair (born 10 August 1946) and drummer, Danny Conway (born 9 May 1948). According to a 1968 article by the ''Greenville Delta Democrat Times'', all of the members grew up listening to the soul, rock sound. Organist St. Clair was the leader. Callas had started on guitar around the age of fourteen. Collectables Records is an American reissue record label, founded in 1980 by Jerry Greene. Greene also formed the Lost Nite and Crimson record labels. Paramount Records
Paramount Records was an American record label known for its recordings of jazz and blues in the 1920s and early 1930s, including such artists as Ma Rainey, Tommy Johnson (guitarist), Tommy Johnson and Blind Lemon Jefferson. Early years Paramount Records was founded in 1918 by United Phonographs, a subsidiary of the Wisconsin Chair Company, which trademarked its record brand from Port Washington and began issuing records the following year on the Puritan and Paramount labels. Puritan lasted only until 1927, but Paramount, based in the factory of its parent company in Grafton, Wisconsin, published some of the nation's most important early blues recordings between 1929 and 1932. "Dancing in the Street" is a song written by Marvin Gaye, William Stevenson, and Ivy Jo Hunter. Jim Golden aka James Lee Golden was a music executive and record producer and occasional composer. He was active mainly during the 1960s and 1970s. He produced recordings for The American Breed, The Cryan' Shames, The Flock, The Hardy Boys, Mason Proffit, The Trolls and others. Background Jim Golden was the founder of the Chicago-based USA Records, which had chart success with the Buckinghams, the Flock and the Rivieras. After the label's closure, he joined Dunwich Productions which was headed by Bill Traut. Golden was a partner in Wooden Nickel Records, a company that was an RCA customlabel. "Wait for Me Mary-Anne" was a hit single in the late 1960s for English group The Marmalade as well as New Zealand group The Dedikation. The Dedikation was a New Zealand rock band that was active during the 1960s. They had a couple of national hits during that period.
