Dann Thomas
Dann Thomas (born Danette Maxx Couto, January 30, 1952) is an American comic book writer and is married to comic book writer and editor Roy Thomas. She has at times collaborated with her husband on ''All-Star Squadron'', '' Arak, Son of Thunder'', the ''Crimson Avenger'' miniseries, and ''Avengers West Coast''. She married Roy Thomas in May 1981 and legally changed her first name from Danette in the early 1980s. Biography Dann Thomas' earliest comic book credit appears on "The Sea of No Return" (credited as "Adapted from a story by Danette Couto") in '' Savage Sword of Conan'' #66 (July 1981). Her husband credits her with the original idea for '' Arak, Son of Thunder'', noting, "Danette Couto (soon to be Dann Thomas) had this idea: What if a Native American had discovered Europe?" All-Star Squadron
The All-Star Squadron is a DC Comics superhero team that debuted in ''Justice League, Justice League of America'' #193 (August 1981) and was created by Roy Thomas, Rich Buckler and Jerry Ordway. Although the team was introduced in the 1980s, its self-titled series took place in the 1940s, retroactively inserting their narratives into the fictional history of the DC Comics superheroes. The team included many of DC's Golden Age era characters, new characters, and other World War II superheroes which DC did not own during the 1940s but later acquired. Wonder Woman is a superheroine who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character first appeared in ''All Star Comics'' Introducing Wonder Woman, #8, published October 21, 1941, with her first feature in ''Sensation Comics'' #1 in January 1942. ''Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew!'' is a DC Comics series about a team of talking animals in fiction, talking animal superheroes called the Zoo Crew. The characters first appeared in a 16-page DC Comics insert previews, special insert in ''The New Teen Titans'' #16 (February 1982), followed by a series published from 1982 to 1983. Firebrand (DC Comics)
Firebrand is a name of several characters appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Fictional character biography Rod Reilly Published by Quality Comics from August 1941 to November 1942, Rod Reilly was the bored and wealthy socialite son of a steel tycoon, who decided to fight crime with his servant and friend, "Slugger" Dunn. Originally drawn by Reed Crandall, Firebrand appeared in ''Police Comics'', issues #1 through 13, at which time his series was canceled. Firebrand's costume consisted of a transparent shirt and red pants, with a bandana mask covering the top half of his face. He uses a lariat, and can climb buildings using vacuum cups. After DC purchased Quality Comics, Firebrand was largely left on the sidelines until the mid-1970s, when he joined the Freedom Fighters (comics), Freedom Fighters.
