Danilo Lagbas
Danilo P. Lagbas (January 25, 1952 – June 8, 2008) was a Philippines, Filipino politician. A member of the Lakas–CMD (1991), Lakas-CMD Party, he was elected to two terms as a Member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines, representing the Legislative_districts_of_Misamis_Oriental#1st_District, First District of Misamis Oriental. He first won election to Congress in 2004, and was re-elected in 2007. He died while in office in June 2008 from lung cancer, lung and liver cancer. At the time of his death, Lagbas was the Chairperson of the House Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship Development. He was a principal author of List of Philippine laws, Republic Act No. 9501, also known as the ''Magna Carta for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.'' Oscar Moreno (politician)
Oscar "Oca" Seriña Moreno (born February 28, 1951) is a Filipino politician and the former Mayor of Cagayan de Oro City, Northern Mindanao, Philippines, the provincial capital of Misamis Oriental. He is a lawyer by profession and a former banker before he entered public service. Career Politics Moreno's first foray in public service was in 1995 when he ran for Representative of the First District of Misamis Oriental. He lost to the then-incumbent, the late Homobono Cezar. Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats, abbreviated as Lakas–CMD and also known simply as Lakas, is a political party in the Philippines. Lakas–CMD is considered to sit on the centre-right of the political spectrum, and is influenced by Christian democracy and Islamic democracy. Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (), abbreviated as Lakas–CMD and popularly known as Lakas, was a political party in the Philippines. Its ideology and that of its successor is heavily influenced by Christian and Islamic democracy.
