Danil Gushchin
Danil Vadimovich Gushchin (; born 6 February 2002) is a Russian professional ice hockey player for the San Jose Barracuda of the American Hockey League (AHL), as a prospect to the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Selected by the Sharks in the 2020 NHL entry draft, he made his NHL debut with them in 2023. Playing career Gushchin was drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the 2020 NHL entry draft. Winger (ice Hockey)
Winger, in the game of ice hockey, is a forward position of a player whose primary zone of play is along the outer playing areas. They typically flank the centre forward. Originally the name was given to forward players who went up and down the sides of the rink. Wingers generally have the least defensive responsibilities out of any position on the ice, however they are still tasked with defensive duties such as forechecking duties or covering the point in the defensive zone. Nowadays, there are different types of wingers in the game — out-and-out goal scorers, checkers who disrupt the opponents, and forwards who work along the boards and in the corners. The 2020–21 USHL season was the 42nd season of the United States Hockey League as an all-junior league. Due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the previous season was curtailed on March 12, 2020, without holding a playoff or awarding a Clark Cup champion.
