Danielle Walker (comedian)
Danielle Walker is an Australian comedian and actor. Her style of comedy has been called "strange" and "dark". In 2023, Walker won the first season of '' Taskmaster Australia''. Early life Walker grew up in Bluewater outside of Townsville in Queensland. She briefly lived in London as a teenager and moved from Townsville to Melbourne in early 2015. Career In 2016 at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF), Walker won the 2016 RAW Comedy National Grand Final. She won the Best Newcomer award at the MICF in 2018 for her comedy show ''Bush Rat''. Later that year, Walker performed in London. At the 2019 MICF, Walker performed a show titled ''Myths and Legends'', which featured illustrations drawn by Walker. She presented her show ''Nostalgia'' at the MICF in 2022. ''Thank God You're Here'' is an Australian television improvised comedy program created by Working Dog Productions, which premiered on Network Ten on 5 April 2006, and aired for the first three seasons and on Seven for the fourth season. Each episode involves performers walking through a door into an unknown situation, greeted by the line "Thank God you're here!". They then had to improvise their way through the scene. At the end of each episode a winner was announced. It was the most successful new show in Australia of 2006, attracting an average of 1.7 million viewers after the first few episodes.
