Danielle Matthews
Danielle Matthews (born 16 December 1983) is an Australian singer, musical theatre and cabaret artist who resides in Melbourne. Matthews attended McKinnon Secondary College then studied Musical Theatre at The Victorian College of the Arts . In 2009 Matthews became the inaugural winner of the prestigious Rob Guest Endowment Award. Jonathon Welch
Jonathon Charles Welch (born 5 October 1958) is an Australian choral conductor, opera singer and voice teacher. As a singer, Welch has been a tenor for the Victoria State Opera, Lyric Opera of Queensland and Opera Australia. During 2006 Welch was invited to be the choirmaster for the Fremantle TV production known as The Choir of Hard Knocks comprising homeless and disadvantaged singers from Melbourne. The TV producer was Jason Stephens and the five-part documentary series was televised during mid-2007 on Australian Broadcasting Corporation. The Choir Of Hard Knocks
In 2005 FremantleMedia Australia producer Jason Stephens brought the idea of a television series called the Choir of Hard Knocks to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. In an interview on Australian Story by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Stephens said "I'd always been quite fascinated by choirs. Living in Melbourne during that time 2005 the homelessness problem was more obvious, I guess.
