Daniela Sanzone
Daniela Sanzone is an Italian and Canadians, Canadian journalist and writer. She lives in Toronto where she is a Teaching Assistant and a PhD candidate at York University in Communication and Culture, Graduate joint program at York University and Toronto Metropolitan University. Her research interests are Canadian broadcasting policies, Journalism, and Ethnic Media, also known as Third Language Media or Ethnic Minority Media. For many years she was a news anchor and a reporter for the ''Italian News'' at Omni Television, a Canadian multicultural channel owned by Rogers Media, and the on-air host of the daily program Pomeriggio Italiano (Italian Afternoon). Cinecittà Studios (; Italian for Cinema City Studios), is a large film studio in Rome, Italy. With an area of 400,000 square metres (99 acres), it is the largest film studio in Europe, and is considered the hub of Italian cinema. The studios were constructed during the Fascist era as part of a plan to revive the Italian film industry. Tony Nardi (born 1958) is an Italian-Canadian actor, playwright and theatre director based in Toronto, who has performed on stage and in film and television. Fluent in four languages; he has appeared in French, Italian and English-language productions, including over 60 plays and 70 films and television series. He won the Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role twice, for '' La Sarrasine'' (which he co-wrote) and ''My Father's Angel'', with three additional nominations. Paul Tana
Paul Tana (born January 8, 1947) is an Italian-Canadian film director and screenwriter. He is most noted for his 1992 film ''La Sarrasine'', which received ten Genie Award nominations at the 13th Genie Awards in 1992 including a nomination for Tana in the Best Original Screenplay category. Born in Ancona, Marche, Italy, Tana emigrated to Canada with his family in childhood. He studied literature at the Université du Québec à Montréal before joining the Association Coopérative des Productions Audio-Visuelles, for whom he made a number of short films before releasing his debut feature film, ''Day by Day (Les grands enfants)'', in 1980. Daniela Nardi is a classically trained Canadian singer and songwriter based in Toronto, Ontario. She studied music from the age of five at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and her studies culminated in a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music from York University. She has composed for various independent films, and her resume includes experience as an actor and voice-over artist. Nardi has performed in Toronto clubs (The Montréal Bistro, Lula Lounge) and at festivals in both Canada (Rimouski Jazz Festival, Distillery Jazz) and abroad (in front of 100,000 people at a festival in Indonesia, in tandem with her jazz piano-playing husband, Ron Davis.
