Daniel Torto
Daniel Sylvanus Mensah Torto (born 1960) is a Ghanaian Anglican bishop. He has been the Anglican Bishop of Accra, in the Church of the Province of West Africa, since 2012. Education Torto was educated at St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School, the University of Ghana, Episcopal Divinity School and Vision International University. Incumbent (ecclesiastical)
In English ecclesiastical law, the term incumbent refers to the holder of a Church of England parochial charge or benefice. The term "benefice" originally denoted a grant of land for life in return for services. In church law, the duties were spiritual (" spiritualities") and some form of assets to generate revenue (the "temporalities") were permanently linked to the duties to ensure the support of the office holder. Historically, once in possession of the benefice, the holder had lifelong tenure unless he failed to provide the required minimum of spiritual services or committed a moral offence. With the passing of the "Pastoral Measure 1968" and subsequent legislation, this no longer applies, and many ancient benefices have been joined into a single new one. Adabraka
Adabraka is a town in the Korle-Klottey Municipal District, located in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. It was the first affluent neighborhood in Ghana during the British era. The town's economy is dominated by trade, which includes the Adabraka market. As of 2019, the current mayor of the municipality the town is located in is Hon. Samuel James Nii Adjei Tawiah.
