Daniel Prodan Stadium
The Daniel Prodan Stadium is a multi-use stadium located in Satu Mare, Romania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of CSM Satu Mare. For almost all its existence, the stadium was the home ground of Olimpia Satu Mare. The stadium holds 18,000 people, but only 1,500 on seats and it can also host athletics competitions due to the clay track that surrounds the pitch. It is the 11th stadium in the country by capacity. The stadium was known as ''Olimpia Stadium'' but was renamed in February 2017 as Daniel Prodan Stadium in honor of the former international footballer Daniel Prodan Daniel "Didi" Claudiu Prodan (23 March 1972 – 16 November 2016) was a Romanian professional association football, footballer who played mainly as a centre-back. Satu Mare (; ; ; or ) is a city with a population of 102,400 (2011). It is the capital of Satu Mare County, Romania, as well as the centre of the Satu Mare metropolitan area. CSM Satu Mare (football)
Clubul Sportiv Municipal Olimpia Satu Mare, commonly known as CSM Olimpia Satu Mare, or simply as Satu Mare, is a Romanian football club based in Satu Mare, Satu Mare County, currently playing in the Liga II. This team represents the football section of the multi-sport club CSM Satu Mare, which also include basketball, volleyball and handball sections. CSM Satu Mare was established on 18 July 2007 and is fully supported by the Municipality of Satu Mare. The football section of CSM was established only in 2018, after the second dissolution of Olimpia Satu Mare and was enrolled in the Liga IV Satu Mare. Fotbal Club Olimpia MCMXXI Satu Mare, commonly known as Olimpia Satu Mare, Olimpia MCMXXI or simply as Olimpia, is a Romanian professional football club from Satu Mare, Satu Mare County, Romania, founded on 5 May 1921, re-founded in 2010 and 2018.
