Daniel Oehry
Daniel Oehry (born 20 February 1971) is a politician from Liechtenstein who has served as a government councillor since 2025. He previously served in the Landtag of Liechtenstein from 2017 to 2025 and also as president of the Progressive Citizens' Party from 2023 to 2024. Life Oehry was born on 20 February 1971 in Grabs, Switzerland as the son of postman Anton Oehry and Hannelore Schreiber as one of three children. He attended primary school in Ruggell, and then secondary school in Eschen. From 1987 to 1991 he conducted an apprenticeship as a designer at Hilti in Schaan, and has worked at the company since 1992 as a project manager. From 1992 to 1996 he studied mechanical engineering in Vaduz. From 2003 to 2011 Oehry was a member of the Eschen municipal council. From 2017 to 2025 he was a member of the Landtag of Liechtenstein as a member of the Progressive Citizens' Party, and the party's spokesman in the Landtag from 2017 to 2023. Grabs, Switzerland
Grabs is a Municipalities of Switzerland, municipality in the ''Wahlkreis'' (constituency) of Werdenberg (Wahlkreis), Werdenberg in the Cantons of Switzerland, canton of Canton of St. Gallen, St. Gallen in Switzerland. History Grabs is first mentioned in 841 as ''Quaravedes''. In 979 it was mentioned as ''Quadravedes'', then in 1235 as ''Grabdis'' and in 1253 as ''Graps''. Geography Grabs has an area, , of . Of this area, 50% is used for agricultural purposes, while 32.2% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 4.8% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (12.9%) is non-productive (rivers or lakes). The municipality is located in the Werdenberg ''Wahlkreis.'' The eastern portion of the municipality is on edge of the Rhine valley, but doesn't reach the Rhine. Liechtensteiner Vaterland
''Liechtensteiner Vaterland'' (; lit. "Liechtenstein Fatherland") is the largest daily newspaper in Liechtenstein. Published by Vaduzer Medienhaus AG, it is the official newspaper of the Patriotic Union party. History In January 1936, Christian-Social People's Party and Liechtenstein Homeland Service merged to form the Patriotic Union. As a result, the parties respective newspapers, the '' Liechtensteiner Nachrichten'' and ''Stimme für heimische Wirtschaft, Kultur und Volkstum'' merged to form the ''Liechtensteiner Vaterland'' with Carl Freiherr von Vogelsang as the first editor in chief. The newspaper came under controversy in January 1937 when Vogelsang publicly denounced Jews living in Liechtenstein and sent numerous letters detailing them to officials in Nazi Germany. As a result, Prime Minister of Liechtenstein Josef Hoop ordered the offices of the Vaterland to be searched for any letters to be confiscated and Vogelsang promptly left the country.
