Daniel Yarnton Mills (29 August 1849, Stroud, Gloucestershire, England – 17 December 1904, London, England) was a Scottish chess master. Mills won the Scottish Chess Championships on eight occasions (in 1885, 1887, 1892, 1895, 1896, 1897, 1899 and 1900) and was British Amateur Champion in 1890. Daniel Simon Mills, FRCVS (born 21 August 1966) is an English veterinarian and biologist and the UK's first Professor of Veterinary Behavioural Medicine based at the University of Lincoln, United Kingdom. He attended St Edmund's College, Ware before studying at the University of Bristol where he received his BVSc degree and completed his Ph.D. degree in animal behaviour from De Montfort University. Biography After some time spent in general practice, he became a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Principal Lecturer in animal behaviour at De Montfort University, and subsequently the University of Lincoln, where he has been Head of the Department of Biological Sciences, and now heads up thclinical animal behaviour team.He has an active teaching and researcportfolio His research has focused on the assessment of emotion in companion animals and the use of semiochemicals to manage their problem behaviour (pheromonatherapy). Daniel John Mills (born 18 May 1977) is an English former professional footballer best known for his time at Leeds United. His main position was right-back, though he could also play as a centre-back. On 7 August 2009, he announced his retirement from the game at the age of 32 due to an ongoing knee injury. Club career Early career Mills began his career with Norwich City after coming through their youth system. He was unable to establish a regular place in the side and moved to Charlton Athletic in March 1998 and helped them win promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs, playing in their dramatic win over Sunderland in the play-off final, winning 7–6 on penalties after a 4–4 draw. Daniel Paul Mills (born 27 November 1991) is an English footballer who plays as a striker for Dulwich Hamlet. Career Born in Croydon, London, Mills started his career with the Croydon F.C. youth system in 2007 before signing for Conference National club Crawley Town in 2008. Mills scored 26 goals in 2008–2009 for Crawley's youth team and made two first-team appearances as a substitute, earning a trial at Rangers and a £15,000 move to Peterborough United.
