Daniel Lurie
Daniel Lawrence Lurie (born February 4, 1977) is an American politician and philanthropist who is the 46th and current mayor of San Francisco, serving since 2025. He was elected in 2024, having defeated incumbent mayor London Breed. He is the founder and former CEO of Tipping Point Community. Early life Daniel Lawrence Lurie was born and raised in a Jewish family in San Francisco, the son of Mimi (née Ruchwarger) and Rabbi Brian Lurie. His parents divorced when he was two; his mother remarried Peter E. Haas and his father remarried Caroline Fromm Lurie. Daniel is an heir to the Levi Strauss fortune as Peter is the great-grandnephew of Levi Strauss. Lurie says he grew up "most of the time in aas'shouse." Town School For Boys
Town School for Boys, located in San Francisco, California, is an independent day school for boys from kindergarten through the eighth grade. The school was established in 1939 by parents from the recently closed and privately owned Damon School, and in 1938–39 was known as the Tamalpais Junior School. Town School for Boys is considered a college preparatory institution for boys in San Francisco. Edwin Mah Lee (May 5, 1952 – December 12, 2017) was an American politician and attorney who served as the 43rd Mayor of San Francisco from 2011 until his death in 2017. Born in Seattle to Chinese American parents, Lee was a member of the Democratic Party. He took office as San Francisco city administrator in 2005 and was appointed on January 11, 2011, by the Board of Supervisors to serve out the remaining term of former mayor Gavin Newsom after Newsom resigned to become Lieutenant Governor of California. Ronald Mandel Lott (born May 8, 1959) is an American former professional football player in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons from 1981 to 1994.
