Danny Jackson (baseball)
Danny Lynn Jackson (born January 5, 1962) is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played 15 seasons in Major League Baseball from 1983 to 1997. He played for the Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, and San Diego Padres. Jackson is best known for pitching an List of Major League Baseball pitchers who have thrown an immaculate inning, immaculate inning during Game 5 of the 1985 World Series, which remains the only immaculate inning pitched in postseason play. He would go on to win the World Series that year with the Royals, as well as the 1990 World Series with the Reds. Early life Danny Lynn Jackson was born on January 5, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas. Dan Jackson is an American football coach who is currently the head coach for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Playing career Jackson played for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits from 2003 through 2005. Coaching career Jackson got his first coaching job in 2012 at his alma mater South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Jackson would spend the next seven years with the Jackrabbits serving in multiple roles as the team's cornerbacks coach, special teams coordinator, recruiting coordinator, and assistant head coach. Danny Jackson (born 20 October 1979) is an English central defender/sweeper who last played for the Seattle Sounders, and served as captain from 2004 to 2008. Youth In England, Jackson began playing football through the Leeds United Youth Program. After 10 years in the program, Jackson headed to the United States to play college soccer at the University of North Carolina where he received numerous honors. As a Tarheel, he was nominated for the All-South Team from 1998 to 2001, he was All-ACC and All-American in 2000 and 2001. Daniel Jackson (born 25 April 1986) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally from Carey Grammar, Jackson was drafted to Richmond from the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup with the 53rd selection in the 2003 AFL Draft. He went on to play 156 games for the Tigers, predominantly as a midfielder and lockdown player, and was a member of the club's leadership group from 2009 to 2014. He is the principal designer of the Alloy modelling language, and author of the books ''Software Abstractions: Logic, Language, and Analysis'' and ''The Essence of Software''.
