Daniel Horton (basketball)
Daniel Horton (born April 21, 1984) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball as a guard for the Michigan Wolverines, twice earning All-Big Ten and team MVP honors. In high school, Horton was a McDonald's All-American and represented the United States national under-18 team in the 2002 FIBA Under-18 AmeriCup. College career Horton played four seasons at the University of Michigan, from 2002 to 2006. He entered as the No. 14 overall recruit in the country according to ESPN, one spot behind Chris Bosh. Horton represented the United States national under-18 team in the 2002 FIBA Under-18 AmeriCup and was a starter in the McDonald's All-American Game in 2002. Guard (basketball)
Basketball is a sport with five players on the court for each team at a time. Each player is assigned to different positions defined by the strategic role they play. The 2002 McDonald's All-American Boys Game was an All-star basketball game played on Thursday, April 4, 2002 at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. The game's rosters featured the best and most highly recruited high school boys graduating in 2002. Gary Grant (basketball)
Gary Grant (born April 21, 1965) is an American former professional basketball player at the point guard position in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also played four professional seasons in Greece. Grant was an All-American college player for the Michigan Wolverines. Wayman Britt
Wayman P. Britt (born August 31, 1954) is a retired American basketball player. Born in Wilson's Mills, North Carolina, he played collegiately for the University of Michigan, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in communication. The university's annual award for the "Outstanding Defensive Player" is named for Britt. Britt was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the fourth round (60th pick overall) of the 1976 NBA draft. He played for the Detroit Pistons (1977–78) in the NBA for seven games. Britt also was drafted in the 13th round (364th overall) of the 1976 NFL draft by the Washington Redskins. Bill Buntin
William L. Buntin (May 5, 1942 – May 9, 1968) was an American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Michigan Wolverines. Buntin died of a heart attack at age 26. College career Buntin was born on May 5, 1942, to William and Rosa Buntin. He graduated from, Northern High School in Detroit, Michigan, in 1961, playing under Coach Eddie Powers. He attended Michigan, playing from 1962 to 1965 for Coach Dave Strack. In three seasons playing center for Michigan, the 6' 7" Buntin had 1,037 rebounds, ranking second in school history. He averaged 15.7 rebounds a game in 1963 and recorded 58 double-doubles in 79 games, still a school record. His 1,725 points ranks 9th in school history.
